Scottie Scheffler has now entered the $100m earnings club alongside Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy following a commanding victory at The American Express to kick off his season. As the current world No.1, Scheffler has sent a clear message to the reigning Masters champion that he is a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Majors.

Last year, Scheffler faced an injury setback in January when a wine glass he was using to prepare ravioli shattered in his hand during the Christmas season. However, he has made a remarkable comeback in 2026, finishing with a strong six-under 66 to secure a four-shot win in California, marking his 20th PGA Tour victory in the past four years and earning a lifetime membership.

With his on-course earnings reaching $101,109,136 after winning $1.656m at The American Express, Scheffler has now joined the elite company of Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only players to achieve 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.

Reflecting on his achievement, Scheffler expressed his gratitude and humility, acknowledging the significance of being mentioned alongside legends like Woods and Nicklaus. Since his first win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, Scheffler has outperformed McIlroy with 11 more victories, including a seventh win in his last 13 stroke-play events. Notably, since his T-20 finish at The Players last March, Scheffler has maintained a remarkable consistency, never finishing lower than T-8 in subsequent events.

Commenting on Scheffler’s exceptional performance, former world No.1 Jason Day praised the consistency and hunger displayed by Scheffler, comparing his achievements to those of Tiger Woods. Looking ahead, Scheffler remains focused on further improvement, indicating that he believes there is room for growth despite his already impressive track record. The golfing world is on notice as Scheffler gears up for the upcoming Masters, scheduled to start on April 9.

Additionally, the young talent Blades Brown made his mark during the week, playing in the final group alongside Scheffler and finishing tied 18th with a closing 74. Reflecting on the experience, the 18-year-old expressed awe at witnessing Scheffler’s victory, highlighting the surreal nature of the moment.

Overall, Scheffler’s dominance on the golf course continues to captivate fans and fellow players alike, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
