Samsung has revealed its latest series of innovative foldable smartphones, potentially posing a challenge for Apple. The tech giant from Korea introduced three new devices, led by the redesigned Galaxy Z Fold 8 featuring a fresh “passport-style” design.
Unlike its predecessors, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 showcases a wider and shorter form factor, offering a 7.6-inch display that resembles a compact tablet, ideal for multimedia consumption and gaming on the move. This design shift comes at a critical time as Apple is rumored to be working on its own foldable iPhone with a similar layout, giving Samsung an early edge.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is available for pre-order starting at £1,699, positioning it competitively against the anticipated foldable iPhone from Apple, projected to be priced above £2,000. Samsung has also introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, an advanced camera system, and improved design elements for £1,899.
Completing the lineup is the Galaxy Z Flip 8, maintaining Samsung’s popular clamshell design but with a thinner and lighter build. This device offers enhancements in performance, camera capabilities, and overall user experience, starting at £1,149.
