Previously priced at £29.99 per month, the Gig1 plan now comes at a discounted rate of £26.99, resulting in a total saving of £72 over the 24-month contract period. This translates to approximately 87p per day.
According to Virgin Media, this promotional price marks the lowest ever for the Gig1 plan. With speeds reaching up to 1,130Mbps, users can download a feature-length HD film in under 30 seconds and have a 50GB PS5 game ready to play in less than seven minutes.
While households with 70Mbps speeds may experience game downloads taking over 90 minutes, Virgin Media’s Gig1 plan ensures smooth streaming and online gaming experiences. However, it is important to note that the discounted rate of £26.99 will increase twice during the contract term, rising to £30.99 from April 2027 and £34.99 from April 2028.
