A woman recently shared the shocking incident where her sister-in-law vandalized her wedding dress with black paint out of revenge during a longstanding family dispute. Gemma Monk’s white wedding gown, valued at £1,800, fell victim to the attack orchestrated by her sister-in-law, Antonia Eastwood, who mistakenly believed Gemma had deliberately caused her harm during her own wedding to Ashley the previous year.
Following the distressing episode on May 24, 2024, at Oakwood House in Maidstone, Gemma, aged 35 and a resident of Herne Bay, Kent, was left devastated as Eastwood swiftly fled the scene. Eastwood faced legal consequences for her actions, receiving a suspended prison sentence just recently.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Gemma disclosed the ongoing animosity between the two stemming from Eastwood’s turbulent wedding. Gemma expressed her disappointment over being blamed for various mishaps during Eastwood’s wedding, which occurred in September 2023.
Despite the targeted attack on her wedding day, Gemma remained resolute in her decision to marry her partner, Ken, after nearly two decades together. She shared her shock over the calculated nature of the assault, describing how Eastwood and Ashley had strategically waited for her before carrying out the act. The couple then departed for Manchester, where they presently reside.
This distressing incident unfolded around the same time Gemma received a benign tumor diagnosis, adding further strain to her already tumultuous circumstances. Eastwood received a suspended 10-month custodial sentence and was mandated to complete 160 hours of unpaid community work as part of her legal repercussions.
