Scottie Scheffler, the current world No.1 golfer, remains a strong contender for victory at the prestigious Masters tournament. His caddy, a two-time winner at Augusta, is particularly hopeful for Scheffler’s success.

Scheffler’s recent impressive round of 65 has positioned him just four strokes behind the joint leaders, Rory McIlroy and Cameron Young. A win at the tournament would not only secure his third major title but also earn him a substantial £3.35 million prize.

Aside from Scheffler’s potential financial gain, his caddy Ted Scott would also receive a significant portion of the prize money based on their arrangement. Typically, caddies receive around 10% of the winning purse, with variations for lower placings and potential base salaries.

Despite the financial implications, Scheffler has expressed a laid-back attitude towards the prize money, focusing more on his performance on the course. He mentioned in a podcast interview that he relies on a team member to handle financial matters due to his carefree nature.

If Scheffler manages to narrow the gap with the leading golfers, his employee will have more responsibilities in managing the potential prize money distribution. Following mixed performances in the initial rounds, Scheffler’s exceptional round of 65 has put him back in contention for the title.

Looking ahead to the final round, Scheffler expressed satisfaction with his performance and emphasized the need to capitalize on upcoming opportunities to secure a favorable position in the tournament.

For golf enthusiasts eager to follow the Masters action, live coverage will commence on April 6 through Sky’s Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, offering a comprehensive viewing experience with access to various channels and streaming services.
