President Trump’s aggressive stance towards Iran has fallen short of its objectives, failing to curb Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, bring about desired regime changes, or support protesters. Instead, it has resulted in enriched uranium remaining intact under Iran’s nuclear sites, a more hardline regime in power, and potential alienation of the Iranian populace.

While the conflict temporarily reopened the Strait of Hormuz, it significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities, although some argue that the impact was insufficient. Notably, Iran retains a considerable portion of its ballistic and conventional missile arsenal, including numerous drones.

Trump’s self-proclaimed “complete victory” appears far from reality, concluding in an unorganized and ambiguous resolution that raises more questions than it answers. Israel, dissatisfied with Trump’s handling of the situation, is poised to continue hostilities to achieve its objectives.

Reports suggest that Israeli intelligence is resolute in obstructing peace efforts, intending to target Iran’s nuclear aspirations, dismantle the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, curtail Tehran’s ballistic weapons program, and promote a less aggressive government.

The proposed ten-point plan includes Iran’s request for control over the Strait of Hormuz and excludes agreements on ballistic weaponry, thus fueling tensions between the US and Iran. Moreover, there is no mention of halting Iran’s support for proxy groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and others in the region.

Crucially, Iran demands the removal of US military presence from the Middle East, creating a stalemate situation. The unresolved compensation claims and unrealistic demands pose significant challenges, signaling a potential impasse in negotiations.

Trump’s assertion of victory amidst this chaos is unfounded, and the repercussions of the conflict will likely require international cooperation, possibly involving America’s NATO allies in securing vital waterways like the Strait of Hormuz. The aftermath of this mismanaged conflict is expected to have lasting global implications and spark debates for years to come.
