The annual Perseid meteor shower happens when Earth crosses paths with the debris trail left by Comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle. This event reached its peak overnight, coinciding with a new moon that created optimal viewing conditions for skywatchers without moonlight interference. In Croatia, people observed a meteor streaking across the night sky at the Visnjan Observatory. Additionally, a meteor streaked across the sky above the Stone Dolls of Kuklica near Kratovo, North Macedonia. In Serbia, individuals gathered at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mount Avala to witness the Perseid meteor shower. A meteor was also spotted streaking across the night sky above the ancient Illyrian city of Daorson near Stolac, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Notably, a meteor with a green tail and two satellite streaks were visible from Jacobsdorf, Germany, during the Perseid meteor shower. Lastly, a Perseid meteor streaked across the night sky behind St. Mark’s Tower, a coastal fortification near Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq village in Malta.
