Luke Littler has acknowledged that he has not yet engaged in a conversation with Gian van Veen to resolve their heated dispute. The clash between the two occurred during night nine of the Premier League in Manchester three weeks ago.

Van Veen claimed a contentious win over the two-time world champion, accusing Littler of provocative behavior towards the audience when he missed crucial darts. Since then, tensions have persisted. Following a victory on night 12 in Manchester, Littler disclosed that communication between them remains nonexistent.

Littler stated, “No, we have not spoken, but I’m not inclined to initiate the conversation. Perhaps he expects me to approach him first, but that’s not my style. Even in the practice area, others usually initiate conversations with me. I prefer not to engage in idle chatter.”

He added, “We can settle our differences on the dartboard. In the backstage area, everything has been normal. Our preparations have been the same. I think he has moved on, and I have as well. If it becomes necessary to talk, I will do so.”

Notably, Littler faced further hostility this week in Liverpool but noted that it paled in comparison to the reception he received in Rotterdam. Reflecting on the experience, he emphasized moving forward from it and focusing on winning.

Looking ahead, the Premier League will continue in Aberdeen next week, with Littler scheduled to face Josh Rock in the quarter-finals, while Van Veen will compete against Jonny Clayton. Additionally, Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports package, offering a wide range of channels and coverage, including HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, and more sports content.
