The initial weekend of the Coachella Festival has concluded, with the event set to resume next weekend, from April 17-19. Attendees have expressed surprise at the high costs associated with attending the festival.

Tickets for the renowned music festival in California’s desert can range from approximately $800 to over $2,000 per person, depending on the ticket category and additional features. These prices do not cover expenses such as travel, accommodation, or food and drinks at the festival venue. Consequently, many attendees rely on purchasing food and beverages available at the event since bringing in outside food is not allowed.

To shed light on the situation, a British festival-goer named Angelina shared her experience with the steep prices at Coachella, including the cost of basic items like tap water, leaving many people astonished.

In a video, Angelina humorously highlighted the exorbitant prices by showcasing her purchase of a bottle of water at a food truck within the festival grounds. The cost of the water bottle was $8, but with tax included, the total came to $8.70. Angelina cheekily added a tip, making the final cost $9.

She later demonstrated the festival’s water bottle refilling station, where attendees could replenish their bottles with tap water. Angelina praised the water’s quality and taste after taking a sip, amusingly rating it a perfect ten.

Comments flooded in as viewers shared mixed opinions on the water bottle price. Some questioned the necessity of paying for water, while others pointed out that the ability to refill the bottle justified the cost. Coachella’s policy allows attendees to bring in empty water bottles for free refills at designated stations, although certain types of containers are prohibited.

Overall, reactions varied, with some considering the refillable water option a great deal, while others criticized the high price of bottled water at the festival.
