An overwhelmed Luke Littler was moved to tears following his victory in the 2026 Premier League Darts final against Luke Humphries at the O2 Arena on Thursday night.

At just 19 years old, Littler secured his second Premier League Darts title with a narrow 11-10 win over Humphries. In a post-match interview, Littler shared that he had contemplated quitting the sport, even confiding in his partner, Faith Millar, about his uncertainties.

Reflecting on his journey, Littler mentioned the challenges he faced, including a tough start at the bottom of the table before bouncing back with a victory on the fifth night. Despite setbacks like a low 79 average in Brighton, Littler persevered and ultimately claimed the championship trophy.

In a separate development, Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to encompass popular streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, in addition to offering 135 channels and comprehensive coverage of the Premier League and EFL.

With over 1,400 live matches broadcasted, including at least 215 Premier League games, along with coverage of Formula 1, darts, and golf, Sky remains a premier destination for sports enthusiasts.

Overcome with emotion, Littler shed tears during the post-match interview, revealing moments of doubt and despair he experienced earlier. Following a heartfelt moment with Humphries, Littler expressed his struggles and uncertainties, emphasizing the toll of competing weekly in front of audiences.

The emotional display stemmed from a past incident involving Gian van Veen, the runner-up at the World Championships, where Littler’s actions were scrutinized after a pivotal moment in the match.

Humphries provided insight into Littler’s emotional response, acknowledging the significance of the final and the sacrifices made by players who spend weeks on the road away from their families, all aiming to lift the coveted trophy.

The intense final match was praised as one of the best in Premier League history, with Humphries commending both players for their competitive spirit and resilience throughout the tournament.
