If you are considering a family vacation in Europe, Eurocamp is likely a top choice for you. Known for its family-friendly accommodations, outdoor pools, entertainment options, and various activities, Eurocamp parks have been a popular choice for families for many years.

With over 400 Eurocamp parks to choose from, selecting the right one can be challenging, especially if you are unsure of your destination. Recently, Eurocamp revealed its ‘Best in Class’ destinations for 2026, with one park near the UK standing out as the ‘Ultimate All-Rounder.’

Situated in Brittany, France, Domaine des Ormes is close to the charming town of Dol-de-Bretagne and surrounded by scenic countryside. Jono, a contracting manager at Eurocamp, highlighted the park’s high-energy offerings, stating, “For action-packed fun, this park is unmatched. Featuring top-notch slides and beautiful beaches nearby, it is the ultimate choice for active families.”

The park boasts five pools, including indoor and outdoor options, waterslides, and a splash playground. Additionally, guests can enjoy amenities such as an 18-hole golf course, a horse riding school, kids’ clubs, and a variety of activities like football, tennis, and cycling.

Accommodation choices range from Safari Lodge Tents for a glamping experience to Classic, Ultimate, and Premium holiday homes equipped with modern conveniences. For example, a week in a Premium three-bedroom lodge during the May half-term, accommodating up to six guests, costs £1,339.52 and can be booked on the Eurocamp website.

Just a short drive away from Domaine des Ormes is Plage de Cherrueix, a picturesque beach ideal for swimming and relaxation. Nearby, visitors can explore the iconic Mont Saint-Michel, one of France’s most popular tourist attractions. To avoid crowds, it is recommended to visit early in the morning or late afternoon.

Traveling to Domaine des Ormes is convenient, with the option to fly to Rennes Airport from London-Gatwick or Manchester via easyJet. Alternatively, many British visitors opt to drive to the park, which is a 45-minute drive from St Malo. Ferries from Poole or Portsmouth to St Malo can be booked through Brittany Ferries, offering a pleasant overnight journey to kickstart your vacation.
