A man born in Britain is at the center of a series of alleged violent incidents described as “pure acts of evil.”
Olaolukitan Adon Abel, aged 26, has been accused of a string of brutal attacks on Monday that resulted in the deaths of two women and left a man in critical condition.
The Department of Homeland Security worker, Lauren Bullis, was killed, and two others were shot on Monday, prompting Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin to express concerns about the suspect, 26-year-old British national Olaolukitan Adon Abel, who obtained US citizenship in 2022.
Secretary Mullin stated that Olaolukitan is accused of murdering DHS employee Lauren Bullis by shooting and stabbing her while she was walking her dog. He was also arrested for the murder of another woman whom he allegedly shot outside a Checkers restaurant before randomly shooting a homeless man multiple times outside a Kroger in Brookhaven.
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the tragic passing of Lauren Bullis, expressing deep sadness and extending condolences to all affected by the attacks.
Brookhaven Police Department confirmed that the three attacks were linked and announced the arrest of Olaolukitan Adon Abel on charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony in connection with the shooting at Cherokee Plaza.
Following swift investigative efforts, Adon Abel was apprehended without incident in Troup County and is believed to be responsible for other shootings in unincorporated DeKalb County. Authorities are actively investigating all aspects of these incidents in collaboration with relevant agencies.
