Tributes are pouring in following the untimely passing of former NASCAR driver Chase Pistone, who sadly passed away at the age of 42. While the cause of death remains undisclosed, Pistone’s grieving family has requested the sharing of the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline along with any coverage related to his demise. Confirming the heartbreaking news on social media, Chase’s brother, Nick, expressed his deep sorrow and love for his late brother.

NASCAR icon Bubba Wallace also honored Pistone in a tribute shared online. Wallace reminisced about their time racing together in legends cars and expressed profound sadness over the loss.

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Pistone was the grandson of the renowned driver ‘Tiger’ Tom Pistone, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion. Throughout his career, Chase achieved over 80 victories in various racing categories, including Legends, Late Model, and USAR competitions. Notably, he clinched four Summer Shootout Champions Legends titles between 1999 and 2005.

Pistone commenced his NASCAR journey in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2005 under Green Light Racing. He participated in a total of 10 races across NASCAR’s national series, primarily competing in the O’Reilly and Truck series before retiring in 2014.

In a heartfelt letter shared on the Hickory Motor Speedway’s Facebook page, Pistone’s sister-in-law, Phaedra, appealed for the track to pay tribute to Chase during the upcoming race weekend, citing his deep connection and fond memories associated with the venue. In response, the speedway assured it would honor his memory before the race on Saturday night.

Kevin Piercy, the general manager of Hickory Motor Speedway, recalled Chase as a cheerful presence who brought joy to those around him. He expressed gratitude for their shared love for the racing community and mourned the loss of a valued member.
