A tragic incident at Ayser Çalık Middle School in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, has resulted in at least four fatalities and multiple injuries, according to local authorities. The governor of Kahramanmaraş, Mükerrem Ünlüer, confirmed the attack, stating that emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where the casualties were reported. The perpetrator’s identity remains unknown as investigations continue.

Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced the immediate launch of a probe by public prosecutors at the site of the attack, emphasizing the importance of maintaining confidentiality during the investigation process. This incident follows another school shooting in Siverek district, where a 17-year-old student opened fire at Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, injuring sixteen individuals before taking his own life.
