England Test captain Ben Stokes expressed strong emotions in response to the confirmation of his continued captaincy despite leading the team to a 4-1 defeat against Australia in the recent Ashes series. Stokes, 34, acknowledged the challenges he faced during his captaincy, describing the past few months as the toughest period in his leadership journey. In an Instagram post, he emphasized his love for cricket, the team, and the role of England captain, pledging to give his all alongside head coach Brendon McCullum and managing director Rob Key.

The ECB conducted a review that concluded last week, affirming Stokes, McCullum, and Key in their positions. The organization also dispelled rumors of discord between McCullum and Stokes, highlighting their differing approaches to cricket strategy but emphasizing the importance of clear communication and mutual respect. Looking ahead, England will host New Zealand in June and Pakistan in August and September for three Test matches each.

Additionally, England and Nike unveiled new kits for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, offering free delivery on all orders with the code “ENGFREEDEL.”
