A devoted father of three tragically ended his life following a dental trip to Turkey that left him without teeth, an inquest revealed. Pawel Bukowski, 48, was found deceased in his home in April last year after struggling with severe depression stemming from a failed dental procedure. Bukowski, a forklift driver, opted for dental implants in Turkey but was sent back home toothless, with a six-month waiting period for the implants, contrary to the expected temporary dentures.
His wife, Daria Bukowska, expressed how the ordeal shattered his confidence and hope for improvement, despite their unwavering support. Bukowski, who had battled periodontal disease for years, was emotionally devastated by the clinic’s actions, as he had always taken pride in his appearance and health.
The impact of the dental mishap led Bukowski to deteriorate mentally, resorting to heavy drinking and struggling to eat properly. He was taken to the hospital due to concerns about his well-being but was not admitted for psychiatric care at the time.
