Emma Raducanu showcased her mental clarity during an impressive performance in the LTA’s HSBC Championships first round. The 2021 US Open winner swiftly defeated qualifier Anna Blinkova 6-0 6-3 in just an hour after a rain delay.
Raducanu, playing on the Andy Murray Arena, demonstrated her best form since March’s Indian Wells Open, remarking on her natural and focused play. Reuniting with coach Andrew Richardson, who guided her to victory at Flushing Meadows, she dominated the match by breaking Blinkova early on and showcasing a powerful forehand.
