Meghan Markle has introduced two new items as part of her As Ever Mother’s Day collection, which draws inspiration from her young children. The Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand has unveiled two candles that pay tribute to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, incorporating elements of their royal identities.

The limited edition products, available for purchase starting Wednesday, include Signature Candle No. 506, commemorating Prince Archie of Sussex’s birthdate on May 6, and Signature Candle No. 604, a tribute to Princess Lilibet’s birthday on June 4. This launch marks As Ever’s expansion into a broader range of fragrances and apothecary offerings, enhancing their existing candle collection.

The 506 candle, likely a reference to her son’s distinctive red hair, boasts a blend of ginger, neroli, and cashmere scents, promising to fill the space with a warm and comforting aroma. On the other hand, the candle inspired by her daughter Lilibet features notes of amber, water lily, and santal, creating a light and floral fragrance that imparts a sense of brightness and openness to any home. Both candles are priced at £47 each.

In a pre-launch interview with Town & Country magazine, Meghan expressed how As Ever has evolved from its origins in jam-making to become a comprehensive homeware destination, aiming to bring beauty and ease into people’s lives in various aspects.

The products’ descriptions highlight Meghan’s children, with their full royal titles “Prince Archie of Sussex” and “Princess Lilibet of Sussex” serving as inspiration for the names and scents. In 2024, it was disclosed that Prince Harry and Meghan decided to adopt the Sussex title as a surname for their children, unifying their family under the names Archie Sussex and Lilibet Sussex.

While Meghan’s supporters online welcomed the Mother’s Day collection announcement, critics raised concerns about the use of her children’s complete royal titles, especially considering Harry and Meghan’s departure from official royal duties six years ago. Some questioned why Meghan chose to showcase her children’s names and titles publicly, given her previous statements about safeguarding their privacy by concealing their identities on social media.

Meghan previously honored her wedding day with a candle release in last year’s Christmas collection, inspired by her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. The candle, named 519 after their May 19 wedding date, featured fragrances of Moroccan mint and white tea.
