A man in his twenties is currently hospitalized after being attacked by two individuals in the outdoor area of a pub in Sudbury.
The incident occurred at the White Horse establishment on North Street in the heart of the Suffolk town around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday. The victim, who had reportedly been assaulted in the beer garden of the Comfortable Cow pub on King Street, sustained a stab wound to his arm during the altercation.
According to Suffolk Police, two men wearing face coverings and armed with a bladed weapon carried out the attack. After the assault, the victim fled the scene, with the assailants pursuing him along King Street before veering away from the pub. The injured man was quickly transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Descriptions provided by authorities indicate that the first suspect is over 5 feet 6 inches tall, of slender build, and was clad in a black hooded top resembling Adidas apparel along with a balaclava. The second suspect is described as shorter than 5 feet 6 inches, also slender, and wearing dark clothing with a balaclava.
Law enforcement officials are treating the incident as a targeted assault and suspect that the parties involved were acquainted with each other. Investigations are ongoing, including the review of surveillance footage and other inquiries within the vicinity.
