Ikea has rolled out a fresh discount program for thousands of employees all over the United Kingdom. Education and healthcare professionals are now eligible for a 6% discount at Ikea stores, thanks to a new collaboration with Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts platforms.

Previously, members could access a 4% discount on Ikea’s website, but the enhanced offer now extends to in-store purchases as well. To avail of the discount, shoppers need to log into the relevant app and scan their code at the checkout.

Jen Haslam, Chief Revenue Officer at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, expressed pride in presenting this Ikea discount to members. She emphasized the importance of recognizing the dedication of teachers and healthcare workers through tangible benefits.

Nikos Koskinas, Retail Partnerships Manager at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, highlighted the significance of offering this exclusive saving at both online and physical stores. This partnership underscores the commitment to providing meaningful deals that support education and healthcare professionals across the UK.

In another development, Ikea has introduced a new £2 click and collect fee for online orders to be picked up from its stores as of September 2025. However, members of the Ikea Family loyalty program can still utilize this service for free.

Additionally, Ikea customers have the option to collect orders from selected Tesco car parks, DPD, or locker pick-up points, although charges apply if the spending threshold is not met. Ikea Family members can enjoy free click and collect services at Tesco or self-serve lockers for orders over £100 or at DPD points for orders exceeding £60. Click and collect fees range from £2 to £5.

An Ikea spokesperson emphasized the company’s commitment to transparent pricing and enhancing delivery options to provide increased convenience for customers. To ensure financial sustainability, a £2 fee for click and collect services has been introduced for non-Ikea Family members, while Ikea Family members continue to enjoy free collection services across all options.

This move aims to expand delivery choices and improve customer convenience, aligning with Ikea’s customer-centric approach.
