Britons are in for a delightful taste of spring as temperatures are expected to rise to a pleasant 21°C in the coming days, as indicated by the latest weather forecasts. The data from WXCharts, utilizing MetDesk models, suggests that a warm spell will sweep across certain parts of England and Wales by Saturday, April 25, with the South and Midlands set to experience the highest temperatures.

London is forecasted to be one of the warmest spots, with highs of 21°C, while neighboring counties like Berkshire and Surrey are also poised for unseasonably warm weather in April. Areas nearby, including Kent, Crawley, and Reading, can expect temperatures to peak around 20°C.

Heading westward, Worcestershire and the broader West Midlands are also likely to bask in warm conditions, with highs reaching 21°C and surrounding regions hovering at about 19°C. Generally, areas from Leeds southwards, encompassing the Midlands, Wales, the South East, and South West, are anticipated to see temperatures ranging from 17°C to 21°C, with many places settling around 18°C to 19°C.

In contrast, cooler conditions are expected in the northern regions, with Scotland likely to see temperatures between 7°C and 9°C in most areas. Parts of the Scottish Highlands, particularly around Dumfries and Galloway, could experience warmer spells reaching up to 17°C, while the Lake District may see highs around 16°C.

As April comes to a close, the Met Office predicts predominantly dry and sunny conditions. In the long-range forecast covering April 25 to May 4, the Met Office anticipates high pressure dominating the weather pattern, bringing mostly dry conditions with clear or sunny intervals for many regions.

Nonetheless, some showery rain may affect northern and western areas over the weekend, and a brief influx of colder air from the north could bring a short-lived period of showers, possibly wintry, to the northeast. Winds are projected to remain mostly gentle, although they might intensify temporarily in the northeast.

Overall, temperatures are expected to be near or slightly above average for many areas, with a potential for cooler conditions in the north, especially in the northeast, during the weekend.
