Tiger Woods’ former spouse, Elin Nordegren, is reportedly feeling anxious about him following his arrest on suspicion of driving while impaired. The renowned American golf star was taken into custody after his Land Rover overturned in Florida on a Friday afternoon.
After the incident, the 50-year-old was released on bail but is facing charges of property damage and refusal to undergo a lawful test. Although there were no injuries reported, Woods had to exit the vehicle through the passenger door as it had rolled onto its side.
According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, the 15-time Major champion displayed signs of impairment and declined to provide a urine sample. Reports suggest that Woods received criticism from his current partner, Vanessa Trump, while his ex-wife Nordegren is also concerned about his recurring driving troubles.
A source close to the situation mentioned, “The children have a close relationship with Tiger, so naturally, Elin is worried. She wishes for his well-being. Both kids adore spending time with their father. Elin is troubled by his recent car accident and subsequent arrest.”
Woods had a previous crash in 2009 involving sleeping pills in his system and a DUI charge in 2017 due to being found asleep at the wheel, which he attributed to an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication.
In 2021, Woods was involved in a severe accident near Los Angeles, where he survived a crash at a speed exceeding 80mph, resulting in significant leg and ankle injuries. The golfer later revealed that surgeons had contemplated amputation due to the extent of his injuries.
