Apple is currently hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, with a plethora of updates for its products on the agenda. The iPhone is set to receive new features later this year, promising enhanced customization, improved parental controls, quicker app launching, and a more intuitive Siri assistant. This upcoming release is expected to be a major hit, particularly benefiting users with devices compatible with Apple Intelligence.
Initially introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence faced challenges with several promised features failing to materialize. The tech giant from the US has been diligently working on enhancing this intelligent service, and it appears ready to introduce the improvements to the general public.
Scheduled for a September launch, Apple Intelligence aims to simplify users’ lives by organizing calendars and offering context-based suggestions in Messages. For instance, when a user receives a message requesting “photos of mum,” Apple Intelligence will swiftly display relevant images from the photo library.
Notable updates also include changes to Safari browsers, such as the Notify Me feature allowing users to monitor web page changes like product restocks or price drops. Additionally, Safari now automatically organizes tabs by topic.
A significant feature update relates to photos, with the new Apple Intelligence excelling in image retouching and object removal. Users can now extend backgrounds without requiring advanced editing skills, along with a new feature called Spatial Reframing for adjusting photo composition post-capture.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating advanced technology into user-friendly products, prioritizing personal context and privacy. This vision for Apple Intelligence includes features for web browsing, creative expression, photo editing, and more, marking a substantial step towards incorporating powerful AI into their platforms.
The enhanced Apple Intelligence is set to debut with iOS 27 this autumn, available on a range of iPhone models including the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 17 models, and the iPhone Air.
