Freeview has announced significant changes to its television guide, including channel rearrangements and a rebrand. The most notable update is the closure of Talk (Ch 280), a British news channel known for debate and politics. To access Talk content, viewers will now need to use the official Talk app or platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku, and LG screens.

In addition to the channel closure, Freeview is introducing several other adjustments. Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 will be renamed to Wedotv, while Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics will see changes in channel positions. Ketchup TV will move from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics from Ch 214 to Ch 210.

Freeview stated that broadcasters will implement these changes on June 25, 2026, emphasizing the dynamic nature of channel lineups on the platform. To ensure access to updated channels and TV guide, users are advised to retune their TVs through the settings menu as channels may shift or be added or removed over time.

For viewers needing to retune their TVs, the process involves accessing the menu on the TV remote, selecting options like ‘set-up’ or ‘installation,’ choosing ‘first-time installation,’ and following prompts to complete the retuning process automatically. By retuning, viewers can maintain an up-to-date channel lineup and TV guide.
