Armed police rushed to a vacation spot in Cornwall following reports of a woman being assaulted by a knife-wielding man. The incident occurred near the coastal town of Looe around midday on Friday.
The victim, who suffered knife injuries, was promptly taken to the hospital and discharged later that day after receiving medical care. A subsequent manhunt in the holiday park and Southway area of Plymouth led to the apprehension of a 43-year-old man from Plymouth on Saturday on suspicion of causing bodily harm through assault.
The arrested individual has been released on bail as authorities continue their investigation into the matter.
