All reservations made through a well-known British travel firm have been voided following its declaration of insolvency.
Operating out of Hertfordshire, Regen Central Ltd specialized in selling vacation packages to various destinations in Europe and Southeast Asia. The company went into liquidation on January 13 due to the loss of its Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing (ATOL).
The ATOL scheme, overseen by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), ensures financial protection for holiday packages or flights arranged through accredited travel agencies, offering refunds or repatriation in case of a company’s collapse.
Nevertheless, some bookings are not covered by ATOL, such as accommodation-only and non-flight packages, leaving impacted clients without the same level of protection.
Stating that there are no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings, the CAA mentioned, “No refunds will be provided as bookings sold as accommodation only, non-flight packages, and flight-only bookings with issued tickets are not safeguarded under the ATOL scheme. If you believe you are owed a refund for an ATOL-protected booking under Regen Central Ltd’s ATOL, please reach out to us via email at claims@caa.co.uk.”
Established in 2011, Regen Central Ltd offered vacation packages to various destinations including Italy, Bali, Thailand, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. Formerly known as One Haji and Umrah, Regen Travels, and Oneworld Travels, the company has now halted its operations.
Similarly, holiday packages reserved through Simply Florida Travel Ltd were canceled following the company’s discontinuation earlier this year. The Glasgow-based agency provided vacation packages to popular spots like Disneyland, Disney World, Universal Studios, New York City, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Miami, and cruise packages.
According to records from Companies House, Simply Florida Travel Ltd applied for removal from the register on October 13, 2025. The company was formally dissolved on January 6 and ceased trading as an ATOL-protected provider on January 20.
Several other British travel companies have collapsed recently, including Gold Crest Holidays, Great Little Escapes, Jetline Travel, and Asiara UK Ltd.
