Emergency services responded to a distressing incident in Gosford Green, Coventry, where a man in his 50s was discovered “on fire” in a garden. The West Midlands Fire Service, along with police, ambulance, and air ambulance teams, swiftly arrived at the scene on Thursday. The unidentified man received immediate care before being airlifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Firefighters from Binley Fire Station, in collaboration with medical personnel, assisted in managing the situation. The air ambulance landed at Stoke Green play area to transport the man to the hospital. A spokesperson from the West Midlands Fire Service commended the quick response of the teams and extended sympathies to all those impacted by the incident.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. They assured the public that there is no current search for additional individuals involved in the event. The police emphasized the importance of cooperation in shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries and encouraged witnesses to contact them with any pertinent details.
