Hundreds of Microsoft Teams users experienced difficulties with the platform this morning, particularly in accessing video and audio calls. According to data from Downdetector, issues encompassed audio quality, video quality, and overall app functionality, with over 300 users reporting problems earlier today. However, these issues have since been resolved, with the number of reported problems decreasing to 35. Initially, around 300 individuals encountered issues around 10 am, but reports began to subside by 10:40 am.
Some users also faced challenges with Microsoft Teams’ online conferencing feature. While users are still encountering problems this morning, there has been a noticeable decline in reported issues. By 10:50 am, 65 users were still grappling with difficulties, mainly related to audio and video quality as well as app functionality. Earlier data from Downdetector indicated that 359 people had reported issues shortly after 10 am.
The primary concern among users today has been audio quality, constituting 42% of the reports, followed by app usability at 28%, and video quality issues at 22%. Problems seem to have initiated around 9:30 am, affecting users across the UK. The majority of reports have come from London and Manchester, with significant impacts also observed in Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, and Luton.
By 10:30 am, at least 320 users had flagged issues with Microsoft Teams this morning according to Downdetector.
