The latest rankings of the most popular loyalty programs in the UK have been released, with Tesco Clubcard emerging as the top choice among consumers.

A survey involving 2,200 individuals was conducted as part of the Retail Loyalty Index, assessing loyalty schemes offered by 51 prominent UK retailers.

Participants were questioned about their satisfaction levels with the loyalty programs, their likelihood of recommending them, the personalization of rewards, and the security of handling personal data by the retailers.

Each retailer received a rating out of ten based on these criteria to determine their ranking position.

Tesco Clubcard secured the top spot with an impressive score of 8.38, praised by shoppers for its generosity and wide range of redemption options, making shopping more affordable and convenient.

Tesco excelled with the highest “continue to shop” score of 9.16, as customers highlighted incorporating Clubcard into their regular shopping routines.

Clubcard members earn one point for every £1 spent both in-store and online, accumulating rewards that can be redeemed for shopping or with partner brands such as Disney+, restaurants, leisure activities, and travel for every 100 points collected.

Following closely in the rankings, Leon Club secured the second position with an overall score of 8.20, especially commended for satisfaction and recommendation levels.

Members of the Leon Club app earn 100 points for each £1 spent, unlocking a complimentary menu item upon reaching 3,000 points.

Users find the program user-friendly with attractive perks, noting its efficiency in accumulating rewards compared to other schemes. Despite operational changes, Leon’s loyalty initiative continues to gain popularity.
