Corentin Moutet expressed his anger following public remarks made by Danielle Collins about his alleged unsuccessful attempts at flirting. Collins, serving as a commentator at the Miami Open due to an injury, diverted her focus to a personal incident involving the French player Moutet over the weekend.

The 32-year-old American, currently sidelined with an injury, has been providing analysis for the Tennis Channel during the Miami Open. However, her commentary took an unexpected turn when she highlighted an incident involving Moutet before his recent match against Tomas Machac.

During a segment on the Tennis Channel, Collins recounted an interaction where Moutet was reportedly calling out to her while practicing for his match. She humorously responded by suggesting that he needed to improve his serve if he intended to engage in flirtatious banter, emphasizing the importance of tennis skills over other factors like height or personality.

In response to Collins’ statements, Moutet, ranked No. 33 in the world, clarified that he never followed her on social media and criticized the Tennis Channel for allowing false information to be shared on television. He expressed frustration over what he perceived as a deliberate attempt to garner attention through misleading narratives.

Despite the controversy, Moutet, who stands at 5’11, was supposed to face off against world No.1 Jannik Sinner. Nevertheless, he took the time to address the situation and defend himself against the allegations made by Collins during the broadcast.
