A man caused alarm by demanding entry into a house where a mother and child were alone. The unsettling incident was captured on a Ring doorbell camera as the man in a long coat, anime T-shirt, and glasses interrogated the homeowner, insisting on being let inside and inquiring about the daughter’s whereabouts.

Despite the homeowner’s pleas for the man to leave, he persisted in banging on the door and eventually resorted to violent actions, damaging the doorbell and attempting to force his way inside. The homeowner’s husband, alerted by a security camera, rushed back home to confront the intruder.

Before the husband’s return, the man managed to enter through a sliding glass door, prompting the homeowner to arm himself with a shovel. A confrontation ensued, resulting in both parties sustaining head injuries. Police arrived promptly, taking the man, identified as Jason Nichols, 30, into custody.

Nichols was subsequently charged with multiple felonies, including gross bodily injury, intent to terrorize, first-degree burglary, and vandalism. His bail was set at $35,000 (£26,000). The video of the incident has garnered widespread attention online, with authorities commending the homeowner for his actions in protecting his family during the ordeal.
