Coachella 2026 is underway celebrating its 25th anniversary. The first weekend concluded on April 10–12, with the second weekend scheduled from April 17–19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year’s lineup features a mix of global superstars and iconic performances. Sabrina Carpenter kicked off the festival on Friday with an energetic performance, while Justin Bieber made a notable festival return on Saturday with new tracks.
Karol G made history on Sunday as the first Latina artist to headline the festival.
Attendees pay between $549 (£410) and $649 (£483) for general admission passes to Coachella. Despite the high ticket prices, some guests are criticizing the expensive food offerings at the event.
One festival-goer, known as @girlbosstown on TikTok, shared her experience of paying $23 (£17) for noodles and $28 (£21) for carne asada fries. She mentioned that the food quality was good, and the portion size of noodles was reasonable.
However, some individuals expressed discontent in the comments section, with one person stating they had no desire to attend such events.
Influencer ‘Jacks Dining Room’ highlighted the top food items he enjoyed at Coachella, including three tacos for $20 and a burger with caviar-coated fries costing $150 (£112).
Sweetfin, a vegetarian and vegan-friendly poke bowl restaurant, offered poke bowls like spicy tuna and yuzu salmon for $23 each.
Meanwhile, Dave’s Hot Chicken sold a chicken sandwich with fries for $30 (£22), and chicken tenders with fries for $26. Even a basic serving of plain fries was priced at $12 (£9).
Pizza options were equally expensive, as one attendee paid $41 (£31) for two slices of pizza and a can of Coke, describing it as a disappointing experience.
Even those who brought their own food still ended up spending a substantial amount, with one person mentioning paying $50 (£37) for three coffees with friends.
If you plan on attending Coachella, be prepared for the high costs associated with food and drinks.
