The Traitors fans were left speechless tonight – over one contestant’s spelling of another’s name.
The BBC show was back tonight, with another episode – as the remaining Faithfuls fought to make it through another evening. The three Traitors – Armani, Linda and Minah – have managed to kill off two people so far, whilst the team have banished two Faithfuls.
As they sat down at the roundtable to share their thoughts on who they wanted to banish, the heat soon turned on Nathan, with many growing suspicious of his behaviour. Viewers knew Nathan was a Faithful, but in the end, the rest of the contestants decided to vote him out and Nathan revealed he was always on their side.
However, fans were left distracted by Keith’s spelling of Nathan’s name – as he was voted out.
One fan wrote: “not keith spelling ‘nathan’ as ‘nather’ oh we are so back #thetraitors,” whilst a second added: “NATHER. Poor guy. They ALWAYS get it wrong on the first episode. #Traitors #TheTraitors.”
A third penned: “I would argue this isn’t a valid vote cause who tf is nather #TheTraitors,” with a fourth adding: “Didn’t think the name spelling from series 2 could be topped then BAM… nather #TheTraitors.” A fifth wrote: “Nather, petition for name tags please… Actually no it’s funnier this way #TheTraitorsUK #Thetraitors.”
“Keith spelling ‘Nathan’ as ‘Nather’ at the roundtable #TheTraitors,” another shared, as one wrote: “If I’d have seen “Nather” at the roundtable I’ve have burst out laughing and immediately been considered untrustworthy #TheTraitors.”
Asked why he decided to go on the show, Keith revealed: “Wow, that’s a million-dollar question. I watched the first and the second series and with the second series, I was sitting on the settee watching as Harry won and as soon as it finished, I said to my wife, I said, ‘You know something? I could do that’. And that’s the reason why I applied. I like to play games like this, it excites me.
“It reminds me of an old TV programme called Columbo, he was a lieutenant, and he always knew who the murderer was. He knew they did it, but he just needed to work it out from start to finish. So, and that’s why I applied, I just thought I could I enjoy these sorts of games. Also, I’m one of nine in my family. I’ve got a very big family, lots of brothers and sisters who used to play tricks on each other, wind each other up, the works! So, with all that in mind, that’s why I applied for The Traitors.”
