Henman, a dear friend of Richardson, expressed his shock at Raducanu’s initial dismissal of the coach. He mentioned in an interview with The Guardian that he hopes the reunion between Raducanu and Richardson will be successful for both parties. As Raducanu gears up for Wimbledon, where she will be seeded at No. 32, Henman speculated on whether her Grand Slam victory may have hindered her progress.
Although hesitant to predict another major win for Raducanu, Henman believes that under Richardson’s mentorship, she can achieve consistent performances and enhance her resilience on the court. When asked about Richardson’s suitability for the role, Henman affirmed his belief in Richardson’s capabilities, highlighting their longstanding relationship since Raducanu’s early teens.
