A distressed mother has shared her plea for “answers” as her two-year-old daughter grapples with a distressing condition that results in blood-stained bedsheets. The concerned parent, hailing from the Stockport region, expressed the heartbreak of witnessing her young child’s daily struggle with various health issues. Despite exhausting all conventional avenues, including multiple medical diagnoses and treatments, the mother has initiated a GoFundMe campaign in a bid to seek further assistance for her daughter.
From a tender age, the child has faced a series of severe health challenges, such as recurring hand, foot and mouth disease, bronchiolitis, eczema, and asthma. Additionally, she experiences allergic reactions to common foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, eggs, oats, soya, gluten, and dairy, severely limiting her dietary options.
The toddler’s health concerns surfaced when she was just ten days old, leading to a diagnosis of breathing difficulties necessitating the use of a CPAP machine. Despite extensive medical consultations resulting in antibiotic treatments and prolonged hospital stays, the child’s condition showed minimal improvement, prompting the mother to advocate for prompt and effective intervention.
The mother recounted numerous visits to healthcare providers where her daughter’s ailments were often dismissed as viral infections, despite recurrent antibiotic prescriptions. Feeling undermined and dismissed, the mother expressed frustration at the perceived lack of attention to her child’s escalating health issues.
Following her initial vaccinations, the child developed a rash attributed to a milk allergy, leading to a series of unsuccessful treatments with various topical medications, culminating in the child experiencing constant discomfort and sleep disturbances.
Despite multiple attempts to alleviate the child’s symptoms with alternative therapies like Oilatum and oat baths, the mother noted a worsening of the skin condition, eventually resulting in steroid withdrawal and exacerbated skin issues.
In addition to the skin challenges, the child faced multiple health setbacks, including repeated bouts of hand, foot and mouth disease, bronchiolitis episodes, and dependency on inhalers for respiratory support.
With the child now two years old and enduring persistent pain, the mother has turned to crowdfunding to seek assistance from a specialist who can address the underlying causes of her daughter’s health struggles, moving beyond mere symptom management.
Amidst the child’s medical battles, the family encountered personal hardships, including relocation to a new home in search of environmental relief, job loss, and lack of support during challenging times.
