Luke Littler dominated Stephen Bunting to book his place in his second successive World Championship final.

Littler produced a brilliant performance, averaging more than 105 and hitting 13 180s. He also checked out frrom 170 to set himself up in the seventh set and claim a 6-1 win.

The 17-year-old was the runner up to Luke Humphries last year and will be looking to win his first World Championship. He will take on three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen on Friday night.

That’s all from us tonight, thanks for joining us for our coverage as Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen won their semi-finals to book a meeting in the final of the World Darts Championship.

Luke Littler has predicted fans are in for a classic when he faces Michael van Gerwen in the World Championship final.

He said: “If we both turn up like we did tonight, it will be really good.

“As soon as Luke Humphries went out, that’s what everyone was looking at but I had to focus on the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Now I’ve done that, I can focus on Michael tomorrow.

“We all know he’s hunting for a fourth world title. I’m hunting for my first. Same as last night, go home, chill out and come back tomorrow.”

Luke Littler is feeling better than ever after seeing off Stephen Bunting to reach the World Darts Championship final.

He told Sky Sports: “It’s been an amazing tournament so far. People would say I was looking at the title throughout the tournament. After the first game against Ryan Meikle, I have just beat what was in front of me.

“I’ve played a lot better. I’ve won plenty of titles leading up to this. That’s what we do. There are majors all year around and I can’t wait for tomorrow night.”

A dominant night for Littler who proved to be too much for Bunting.

He will now face Michael van Gerwen in tomorrow’s final.

Littler pins in D20 to see off Bunting and wrap up the seventh set. It’s a 6-1 win for the 17-year-old and he has reached his second successive World Championship final.

Bunting isn’t done yet. He finds D20 to level things up in this set.

Littler is really closing in now.

Bunting misses two darts to break the throw but can’t find D8.

Littler comes back and checks out with D4 to go 1-0 up in the seventh set.

Wow, brilliant darts from both players.

Bunting is throwing for 4-2, but Littler continues to pile them in.

He then delivers an unbelieveable checkout from 84, hitting the bullseye to go 5-1 up in sets. He’s one set from the final now.

Bunting fires in a maximum to make the perfect start to the leg against the throw.

He has wrestled away the darts and gets two visits from 204. He piles in a 180 to set up 24.

Littler pressurises him with a maximum of his own and Bunting misses set darts.

The 17-year-old then pins D1 and it’s 2-2.

Bunting is 2-1 up in the sixth set now. He takes out 68, with Littler again missing a double to take the leg. Game on perhaps.

Littler races away and has a huge chance to go 2-0 up.

But he can’t find a double and Bunting comes rooaring back, taking out 70 to level up the fifth set.

Littler keeps on scoring big and quickly gets down to a treble. He struggles to hit D20 on his first visit but then pins it with his second dart of his next one to go 1-0 up in set six.

Littler struggles against the throw but Bunting cannot take advantage.

Littler gets down to a finish but can’t close it out, with Bunting hitting D20 to claim his first set of the night.

It’s now 4-1.

Littler won’t be falling to a whitewash.

He smashes his way down to 100, then fires in two D20s to pull things back to 2-1.

Bunting races away but comes under more pressure after another Littler 180.

But Bunting holds his nerve, checking out on D10 to go 2-0 up in the fith set.

Bunting does well to leave 170 but Littler smashes in yet another 180 to take himself down below 100.

He can’t hit tops though and Bunting comes back, nailing D4 to break Littler’s throw.

Littler is now 4-0 up in sets.

Bunting just isn’t getting the luck on the doubles and Littler takes full advantage.

He hits D20 and D8 to check out and go 4-0 up.

A long way back for Bunting now.

Littler hits some big scores to ramp up the pressure on Bunting. He goes one dart from checking out 114 but hits low when going for tops.

Littler makes no mistake on the same target and is 2-1 up.

Littler levels in what could be a crucial fourth set.

Bunting is way back, giving Littler the breathing space to set up 40, with the wonderkid finishing from D10 to make it 1-1.

Bunting comes under big pressure after a Littler 180 and pins D16 to go 1-0 up in set four.

Littler is now 3-0 up.

Bunting has one awful visit of just 27 and Littler takes full advantage to race away.

After a couple of nervy darts he pins D10 to win the third set 3-2 and go 3-0 up in the match.

We’re level in the third set.

Littler is close to a brilliant 142 checkout to win the set but he misses D11!

Bunting needs 25 and takes it out with D8 to send us into a pivotal deciding leg.

Littler finds some big scores to race down to a finish from his first nine darts. He then pins D20 to go 2-1 up in the third set.

Littler races away from Bunting on the latter’s throw to leave 56. But he hits single five when going for D20 to open things back up for Bunting.

The Englishman fires in a T16 and then D8 to pull level.

It’s another cagey leg, but Littler produces a bit of brilliance.

From 158, he hits two T20s and D19 to check out and go 1-0 up in the third set.

More brilliance from the teenager.

He races ahead of a struggling Bunting, hitting 140 to set up tops for the second set.

He pins D20 to do just that. Littler 2-0 up now and in control.

Littler keeps pace with Bunting in the third leg. Bunting then misses a 10th dart at a double.

Littler takes advantage, pegging D6 to go 2-1 up.

Littler slips up while setting up a finish and it allows Bunting a chance to break.

Bunting can’t take advantage the first time around but when Littler misses from 25, he is finally able to check out on D4 with his 18th dart.

It’s 1-1.

Bunting goes one dart away from the Big Fish and then misses D8 to open up the door for Littler.

The 17-year-old makes no mistake from D10 and goes ahead in set two.
