Emma Raducanu has made the decision to withdraw from Wimbledon this year due to a stress fracture. The British No 1 had initially hoped to compete despite nursing a leg injury, but she confirmed on the eve of the tournament that she would not be able to participate.

In an Instagram post, Raducanu expressed her disappointment, stating that despite her efforts to overcome the injury, a final scan revealed a stress fracture that required her to stop pushing through. She thanked her supporters and shared her excitement to return to the court in the future.

Raducanu, who was seeded 30th, was set to play Antonia Ruzic in her Wimbledon opener. Her withdrawal comes after a strong performance at Queen’s Club, where she reached the final but was defeated by Donna Vekic.

Despite the setback, Raducanu remains optimistic for future tournaments. Wimbledon 2026 tickets are now available for purchase, including VIP access.
