Amazon is rolling out a significant free upgrade for Fire TV devices this month, introducing a revamped Fire TV experience. The enhanced interface promises a cleaner, faster, and more organized layout, simplifying the process of discovering desired content.
This update introduces new categories for movies, TV shows, news, live content, and sports, aggregating content from all used services for easier access. Users can now pin favorite apps to the home screen and benefit from a user-friendly menu system. Additionally, a convenient Shortcut Panel can be instantly accessed by pressing and holding the Home button without interrupting ongoing videos.
Furthermore, the latest system update offers a performance boost of up to 30%, enhancing the overall user experience. As the summer football season approaches, Fire TV users can utilize a dedicated football hub to stay updated on match schedules and access live games through local providers.
The new Fire TV experience is currently being rolled out to Fire TV Stick HD (newest model) and Amazon Ember Artline devices. Amazon plans to extend these updates to other models, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, in the near future.
For users who have compatible devices and have not received the update yet, Amazon suggests restarting the device to prompt the installation of the new interface. If the update is still not visible after restarting, it will automatically reach the device in the following weeks without any further action required.
