Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors put in approximately $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” as stated in the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.

According to the investors, Gomez, known as one of the most prominent celebrities on social media with over 500 million followers, was supposed to actively participate in the company’s development as the head of marketing. However, they claim that Gomez and other key figures in the company failed to deliver on their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.

The lawsuit alleges that Gomez supposedly agreed to a contract to perform certain duties but did not honor it. The investors argue that the company did not have a genuine business operation in place, let alone a profitable one. They claim that the company neglected fundamental responsibilities, like paying its staff and vendors on time.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments. The lawsuit contends that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until they were revealed in an online news report in September 2025. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal costs.
