Donald Trump’s team halted a live stream of his private cryptocurrency conference. The President is scheduled to address elite investors at Mar A Lago today regarding his “memecoin,” with only the top 297 $TRUMP holders permitted to attend, drawing criticism from the opposing party. Among them, the top 29 holders will have the privilege of a VIP reception with Trump during the event.

In an effort to maintain confidentiality, two of the President’s aides intervened when a live stream hosted by a user named “Cryptohawk” started broadcasting footage of the stage before Trump’s speech. A woman on camera, seemingly puzzled, signaled a man in glasses to investigate the source. As the hit song “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke played in the background, the man approached the streamer, inquiring about the phone responsible for the stream. He reminded the streamer of the event’s no-video policy, requested identification, and promptly ended the stream.

This conference follows a sharp 92% decline in the value of $TRUMP over the past year. According to the Financial Times, the cost of attending the VIP reception has also significantly decreased, with attendees needing an average of $3,280,000 in the past compared to just $539,000 this year.

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly clarified that President Trump’s assets are managed by his children, ensuring no conflicts of interest. Attendees of the event, as reported by the Washington Post, will receive a Trump-themed swag bag containing items like a Trump-branded fragrance, a commemorative poster, and a $499 “Fight Fight Fight Red Beauty Watch” available for purchase online. Additionally, former boxer Mike Tyson and motivational speaker Tony Robbins are set to make appearances.
