Apple has announced the upcoming release of iOS 27 at WWDC in California, introducing various new features and promising significant performance enhancements. The tech giant assures users that the new operating system will facilitate faster app launches by up to 30%, creating a smoother user experience.

Additionally, Apple claims that photo loading speeds will improve by up to 70% across devices, while AirDrop transfers will be up to 80% quicker. Notably, these improvements are not limited to the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max model; older devices like the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 will also benefit from increased speed and fluidity due to a feature called the CPU scheduler.

The CPU scheduler optimizes performance by allocating more processing power to the active application on the screen, enhancing overall user experience. Apple anticipates that these enhancements will extend the usability of aging devices and eliminate the necessity for users to upgrade their iPhones prematurely.

Apple emphasized that the enhancements in iOS 27 will advance key system capabilities, making everyday tasks feel faster, smoother, and more enjoyable. While the release date has not been disclosed, iOS 27 is expected to be available in September.
