Tatiana Sheveleva, hailing from Kazakhstan and now based in Toronto, Canada, boasts 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality design. She is the founder of Chapi Design and has collaborated with renowned brands like St. Regis Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, and The Luxury Collection.

Tatiana’s work has taken her to various destinations worldwide, where she has crafted exquisite interiors for hotels, resorts, and yachts. Notable projects include the design of a lavish yacht, Luminara, for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, featuring 226 suites, private terraces, multiple dining venues, and a wine cellar.

Among her recent endeavors was the design project for St. Regis in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, completed in the past year. Tatiana expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work on prestigious properties globally throughout her career.

Drawing on her extensive expertise in luxury interior design, Tatiana emphasized the significance of the headboard in hotel rooms, often the focal point and a substantial investment due to its impact on the overall design narrative.

Additionally, Tatiana stressed the importance of the bathroom in creating a positive impression on guests, considering it a crucial space where unique and sculptural designs can leave a lasting impression. She highlighted the role of lighting in bathrooms to cater to various moods and preferences.

Tatiana also underscored the significance of a comfortable mattress, quality bedding, and thoughtful details like bedside amenities in enhancing the guest experience. She mentioned incorporating distinctive elements within the closet, such as vibrant wallpaper or colorful accents, to add a touch of uniqueness to the room.

For Tatiana, the enjoyment of her work stems from collaborating with diverse individuals and exploring new destinations. She shared her excitement about working on upcoming projects for St. Regis in Costa Rica, The Luxury Collection Hotel in Mexico, and Luxury Hotels in Peru and Antigua, some of which can span several years to complete.
