Virgin Media has launched a flash sale offering free smart TVs ahead of the closing of the FIFA World Cup today. The promotion allows customers to receive a complimentary £250 LG Smart TV upon signing up for one of four Virgin TV and broadband packages. These packages, namely Virgin’s Cinema, Sports, Cinema + Sports, or Max Volt options, include an array of benefits such as hundreds of channels, free Netflix subscription, and the possibility to add Sky Sports and Cinema coverage.
Customers availing themselves of this offer can opt for either a 43” LG Ultra HD smart TV valued at £249.99 or a £125 bill credit, which essentially equates to several weeks of free service. To seize this opportunity, customers must claim the deal by 11.59 pm on Wednesday, May 27.
Virgin’s TV packages come with over 200 TV channels and a complimentary Netflix subscription. The Cinema bundle, priced at £44.99, provides access to full Sky Cinema and 362Mbps fibre broadband. For sports enthusiasts, the Sport bundle at £54.99 replaces Sky Cinema with comprehensive Sky Sports coverage. Customers can also combine both packages with the Sport + Cinema bundle at £64.99, which boosts the broadband speed to 512Mbps. The Max Volt bundle, priced at £76.99, includes over 230 TV channels, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, Netflix, 1,130Mbps broadband, and an unlimited O2 SIM.
Virgin Media is offering a free 43″ LG smart TV or a £125 bill credit to customers who switch to one of its Cinema, Sports, Cinema + Sports, or Max Volt TV bundles by May 27. Virgin has introduced the One Touch Switch scheme, eliminating the need for new customers to contact their current provider to initiate the switch. Instead, Virgin will handle the process on their behalf.
It is important to note that Virgin’s monthly prices increase by £4 each April, so customers should consider this when committing to the 24-month contracts. Sky is also running a competitive sale ahead of the World Cup, reducing the prices of its Glass smart TVs to as low as £4.50 per month.
In the tech realm, Amazon has unveiled its revamped Fire TV range and introduced the Ember Artline model, offering up to £320 off, designed to rival Samsung’s The Frame TV.
Feedback from customers who have signed up for Virgin’s TV and broadband packages has been overwhelmingly positive. Customers have praised Virgin for its fast broadband speeds and excellent value. One customer commended the seamless installation process and the intuitive operation of the TV package. Another customer highlighted the ease of use and voice control features, as well as the variety of channels, broadband speed, and competitive pricing offered by Virgin Media.
