A popular American musician known as D4vd has been taken into custody following the discovery of a missing teenage girl’s body inside his Tesla vehicle.

Authorities have reported that the TikTok personality, legally named David Anthony Burke, has been apprehended in relation to the tragic demise of the young girl who disappeared last year.

Burke became the subject of a formal investigation by a grand jury concerning the suspected homicide of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez after her remains were located in his car back in September.

The Los Angeles Police Department announced on Thursday that the 21-year-old is being detained without bail, with the case set for presentation to the District Attorney’s office for further legal proceedings on Monday.

While the singer has chosen to remain silent regarding the matter, his representatives have indicated that he is actively cooperating with law enforcement in their inquiries.

Official sources have confirmed that details surrounding the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez have been restricted from public disclosure, as per a court order.

This legal directive prohibits the release or posting of any information related to Hernandez’s passing on the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office website.

The remains of Hernandez were discovered in the trunk of D4vd’s impounded Tesla on September 8, 2025, following reports of a noxious odor at a Hollywood tow yard.

Rivas Hernandez, hailing from Lake Elsinore, California, was last seen in April 2024.
