A skiing resort in Sweden has introduced a unique dining experience for visitors – a McDonald’s outlet with a ski-thru window. Skiing is known to work up an appetite, especially in cold temperatures, prompting skiers to seek out food and drinks to refuel.

Located in Lindvallen, western Sweden, this McDonald’s with the world’s only ski-thru window offers a surprising sight for skiers gliding down the slopes. The iconic Golden Arches peek out amidst the snowy landscape, inviting skiers to experience the convenience of ordering their favorite McDonald’s meals without leaving the ski area.

Dubbed “McSki,” this innovative concept has been a part of the Sälen resort for 30 years, providing skiers with a quick and easy way to grab a bite. While lacking a traditional drive-thru setup, skiers can ski up to the window and choose from a full menu, including everything from a McCafé coffee and pastry to a complete Big Mac meal.

Although dining outdoors in freezing temperatures may not be ideal, McSki offers a convenient option for skiers looking to maximize their time on the slopes. Whether enjoying a quick snack or a full meal, skiers can either sit at outdoor tables or take their food on the go, thanks to the nearby heated lift.

In comparison to traditional dining options on the mountain, McSki provides a fast-food alternative that caters to the needs of hungry skiers, offering a unique and efficient way to enjoy a meal while hitting the slopes. The concept has gained popularity among both locals and tourists, adding a new dimension to the ski resort experience.
