Anthony Joshua has returned to England following a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two individuals. The renowned British boxer arrived at London Stansted Airport on Friday night and was subsequently taken to his residence to continue his recovery, as reported by The Sun.

The funeral for Joshua’s friends, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, is scheduled to take place at a London mosque tomorrow, with close acquaintances invited to a ‘janaza prayer service’ in remembrance of the departed friends.

Reports suggest that Joshua is currently undecided about attending the funeral due to concerns that his presence could potentially cause a spectacle. He narrowly escaped the fatal crash by switching seats just before the ill-fated journey that resulted in the loss of his friends’ lives, with Joshua sustaining minor injuries.

The driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, who was behind the wheel during the incident, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. His lawyer has stated that the accident was unforeseen, claiming that the brakes failed to operate. Kayode, aged 46, was discharged from the hospital in Lagos and transported to Abeokuta for further legal proceedings.

After being released from the hospital, Joshua paid his respects to Ghami and Ayodele at a funeral home before their bodies were repatriated to the United Kingdom. Despite the emotional ordeal, Joshua is focusing on his recovery and contemplating his next steps moving forward.
