Donald Trump has criticized Bruce Springsteen, likening him to a “wrinkled old prune.” Springsteen, known as a national treasure in the US, has incorporated political statements into his current tour. During the opening night in Minneapolis, he began with a tribute to military personnel before performing Edwin Starr’s anti-Vietnam song, “War.”

In a three-hour concert, Springsteen expressed concern over the current state of affairs, labeling the Trump administration as corrupt and claiming the President cannot handle the truth. Trump, who is older than Springsteen and visibly so, urged his supporters on Truth Social to boycott the singer’s sold-out tour, calling him a “bad” and “boring” performer with a case of “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Springsteen has been vocal against Trump, especially in recent months, referencing tragic incidents involving ICE in Minnesota where his concert was held. He highlighted challenges to American values and criticized various aspects of the government, including the Justice Department, immigration policies, and international relations.

The singer emphasized the importance of honesty, honor, and decency in shaping the nation’s future, urging citizens to stand up for the values they believe in. He portrayed the current administration as damaging America’s reputation globally and called for a united effort to preserve the country’s ideals.

Throughout his speech, Springsteen emphasized the need for citizens to take action and defend the principles that define the nation.
