Donald Trump has issued a strong ultimatum to Iran on Easter Monday, calling for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz within ten days. In a post on Truth Social, he warned Iran that only 48 hours remained before severe consequences would be unleashed, ending his message with a declaration of “Glory be to GOD!”

The U.S. military intensified its search for a missing pilot in southwestern Iran after Iran shot down a U.S. warplane. The downed plane, identified as an F-15E Strike Eagle, resulted in one service member rescued and another missing, marking the first U.S. aircraft loss in Iranian territory during the ongoing six-week conflict.

The conflict, which started with joint U.S.-Israel strikes in late February, has caused significant casualties, disrupted global markets, and impacted fuel prices. The situation continues to escalate as Iran retaliates to airstrikes with attacks in various regions.

Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim of victory over Iran, recent events have shown a different reality, with an Iranian drone damaging a U.S. technology company’s headquarters in Dubai. Additionally, airstrikes near Iran’s Bushehr nuclear facility have raised concerns, marking the fourth attack on the site during the conflict.

Efforts for peace talks have emerged, with Pakistan offering to host discussions between the U.S. and Iran. Mediators from Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt are working on a compromise to halt hostilities and reopen the crucial Strait of Hormuz.

As the search for the missing pilot continues, tensions remain high, with threats of disrupting traffic through the Bab-el-Mandeb, another critical waterway in the region. Iran’s actions have led to disruptions in global trade, particularly in oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts, casualties continue to rise, emphasizing the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
