Co-op has introduced a significant update for its numerous online shopping loyalty members. Members of Co-op can now benefit from their personalized weekly offers while making online purchases, enabling them to save money compared to the previous option limited to in-store use.

By utilizing these personalized offers, which consist of discounts and deals on frequently purchased items, shoppers have the potential to save more than £80 annually. Additionally, Co-op has expanded the online redemption capabilities for membership cards, allowing users to cash in on various rewards like game prizes and bonus offers.

To access these personalized offers, Co-op members can shop through shop.coop, excluding third-party delivery apps such as Deliveroo or Just Eat. Last year, Co-op increased the number of personalized offers by 67%, reaching a total of over 700 offers, including popular brands like Huel, Pop Chips, Actimel, Pilgrims Choice, and Vimto.

Moreover, Co-op recently extended member price savings to online platforms like Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and its own digital store. Rachel Halter, Customer Director at Co-op, emphasized the company’s dedication to providing value to its members, aiming to grow the membership base to eight million by 2030. The evolution of personalized offers is one of the strategies to attract new members, offering them exclusive benefits like presale tickets at Co-op Live.

Co-op currently boasts around seven million members, with a membership fee of £1. The company’s commitment to expansion is evident as it opens 18 new or upgraded stores, with the first store in 2026 launching in Willowbrook Park, Didcot in Oxfordshire. Additionally, stores like the convenience store in Eastern Green, Coventry, and a franchise-operated site in Ealing, London, are set to reopen following renovations.

Furthermore, Co-op plans to create thousands of new apprenticeships in the coming years, with a £70 million investment dedicated to generating 7,000 matched apprenticeships by 2030 through its Levy Share service. This service allows levy-paying employers to transfer unused apprenticeship levy funds to support businesses, charities, and community organizations.

Since its inception four years ago, the scheme has facilitated over 3,800 apprenticeships, with a focus on supporting deprived communities and the care sector.
