If you’re considering booking a trip in the near future, it might be wise to hold off a little longer. Expedia has unveiled the most economical travel dates, emphasizing the importance of timing in securing cost-effective options for your vacation, allowing you to enjoy a budget-friendly getaway without depleting your savings.

According to Expedia’s data, early March and late April are prime periods for discovering the best deals on international travel. Conversely, Easter marks a peak season with higher prices and crowded destinations.

For maximum savings, it is recommended to target specific dates: March 3 emerged as the most affordable day for international accommodations. However, waiting until April 24 can lead to airfares lower than market averages, and April 27 may offer accommodation options at lower rates than usual.

Expedia suggests focusing on the period from late April to late May for enhanced Spring travel opportunities, featuring fewer crowds and more competitive pricing.

Prices are anticipated to surge during the school break period, with April 2 and 3 identified as the busiest dates for international stays. Conversely, the least busy travel dates, based on research findings, are April 28 and May 31.

Melanie Fish, spokesperson for Expedia Group brands, mentioned, “Brits are intentionally planning their spring vacations this year to bask in guaranteed sunshine, maximize cultural experiences over long weekends, and rediscover the charm of renting a cozy holiday home in the Cotswolds or along the Caribbean coastlines.”

She added, “Utilizing strategic dates to avoid peak travel times is a smart cost-saving strategy, especially when combined with booking all your trip essentials through Expedia for a seamless vacation experience.”

In a previous report in February, Expedia shared valuable insights on booking trips applicable for the entire year. The research indicated that Fridays are typically the most affordable days to fly, while Sundays offer the best chances for securing flight tickets. For international flights, booking 15 to 30 days in advance is recommended for optimal outcomes.

For travelers seeking an affordable getaway, Agadir emerges as a top choice. This picturesque beach resort town has been recognized as the most budget-friendly destination for a week-long holiday, costing just £230 for a comprehensive seven-day stay.

Online travel agency Loveholidays identified Agadir as the cheapest location for a vacation, known for its relaxed coastal ambiance, making it an ideal summer escape.

Situated on Morocco’s western coast, Agadir is a five-hour drive from the capital city of Casablanca, nestled near the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and boasting a population of over half a million residents.
